thats the first thing.Īs it is currently, its possible for players to use modded profiles, meaning money is worthless and so is rank. adding MP to the game would open up MP to to a very high % of these people, killing the ETS MP before it gets going. the reason for this is that a very high % of the idiots we get in any MP game are simpletons with issues, these people generaly dont have the brain to root out a MP "MOD" and get it set up. The first thing to note is that MP should never be hard coded into the sim.

i was very suprised at how good MP is in the sence of the brain power the majority of driver hold. it can be interpreted a million different ways.Īs for MP. i think his comment was "tongue in cheek".

Unless your employeed by SCS or your one of the creators of the multiplayer mod, I don't see how you could take it personal. I can see that in the things you've said and how you said them. Some how you took my statement personally. I was merely stating that from the amount of video showing anything but something positive, that I couldn't see how SCS could, or would try to justify making multiplayer, let alone trying to make "server police" (for the lack of a better term), to try and keep the servers running right. Originally posted by (CAL) TK Brody:Yeah! But nobody posts video when they don't get rammed.Īctually I'v seen lots of video of that as well. So no, your excuse for the things I seen in the video's doesn't hold water. My own personal truck will actually run out at 104 mph pulling a 50 thousand pound load. Mainly because I can't drive a truck at 50 mph. And I'm using a Scania T730 'Torpedo' truck mod, running with the limiter off. And your welcome to watch me in-game any time you like. The trucks I learned to drive on all had 24 inch steering wheels. Trucks have a 20 inch steering wheel in them. I tried using a WingMan Formula Force GP wheel, it didn't feel right. And they are short little bits all compressed into a video showing the idiots and how they have it screwed up. My guess is there is maybe 70 or more video's, most 8 minutes long, some well over half an hour. Granted most are posted by the same person. Well go to Youtube and look up "Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer - Idiots on the road", I have seen more than 50 video's on there. So like in real life if I see someone ahead of drifting between lanes I stay away from them. You have to remember you have a lot of keyboard uses and they just don't have the control that I have with a wheel. I play multiplayer with my friens in the last year I have been purposely rammed once. Originally posted by (CAL) TK Brody:I think you are over reacting to the video you saw. Stupid people ruin things for others who have a true interest. It's a big waste of time and so long as the moron's seem to be running things on multiplayer, it ain't likely to change anytime soon.

The folks running multiplayer are going to have to step up and police this, if they want anyone out there to take multiplayer seriously.ĮTS2 would need "in-game" cops running the roads with the trucks, but also people sitting there taking complaints and dishing out punishment to the losers who don't seem to know what "SIMULATOR" means.Īfter what I'v seen, you couldn't pay me to take up multiplayer as it stands. The real world industry has it's ways of dumping morons from it's ranks in a big hurry. As someone who has 18 yrs in actual rigs, and I have seen the types of fools that come out of those 3 week wonder schools. The sad part of this is, ETS2 is a simulator, not a stupid smash'em up derby game for idiots.ĮTS2 really is a good platform for someone to learn to really drive a real life truck. Morons just out to cause trouble, wreck other peoples trucks and loads, generally screw up a wet dream. WIth the stupidity that I have seen, I doubt SCS will take any REAL serious thought into adding multiplayer for real. I just spent the day watching video's of idiots on ETS2 multiplayer.
